A weekend in Halifax...

We walked through the Halifax waterfront. Not the best day...super thick fog, and a little chilly but hey that meant no crowds. Check out Theodore the tug boat!! This is actually "Theodore too" but he is an actual working tugboat!
One of the fishing boats that was moored. We were wondering about the little boat...it holds the net while the big boat moves it out.
Walked into the garden on Spring Garden rd. Very pretty. Meet Vince and Terrina...awesome people! I could gush but I won't...lets just say one of the best things about moving to BC was meeting them...
Anyone know what these flowers are?
I have no idea what I am staring at...look behind me at the pretty landscape...
How cool is this tree?! He shall be officially known as Eddie...
Again check out the tree...
This is pic from the inside of the tree...
Wouldn't you love to sit under here on a sunny day and read a book?
The tulips there were crazy tall and some crazy big! Middle of the gardens was this ice cream/sandwich/snack shop (sorry no pic) called "sugah." Some of the best ice cream I've had in a while. They do a cold stone type thing where you pick the ice cream, pick a topping and they mix it. The guy recommended strawberry ice cream with chocolate rum cake. Being a chocolate girl I was skeptical about the ice cream, but OMG soooo good! The ice cream had little bits of real strawberry and the rum cake...wow!
I can't believe I am showing you this pic...went to the beach. Could only see about ten feet in front of because of the fog but the crashing waves were cool. I went up to see how cold the water was and underestimated the size of the wave. This is me running back to avoid getting splashed!

But now I have officially touched the indian, pacific and atlantic oceans!

More pics tomorrow.
